Job Summary:

New Season Treatment Centers is a leading national healthcare service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

As a Full-Time Nurse Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person, addressing the underlying causes of OUD to provide a continuum of care that supports patients on their journey to recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Administration: Supplies and administers medication pursuant to physician order, records dosage administered in the medical record, and maintains absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication.
  • Inventory Management: Conducts daily sight and count of medication supply, ensures absolute accuracy in inventory management, and safeguards medication inventory.
  • Financial Transactions: Collects fees in the absence of a cashier position, performs daily cash reconciliation, and ensures all cash collected is given to the Program Director daily.
  • Supply Chain Management: Receives and ensures the accuracy of incoming medication shipments, advises necessary staff of any discrepancies, and ensures disposal of medical waste through proper protocol.
  • Patient Care: Observes patient demeanor prior to dosing, seeks guidance from the Medical Director or Registered Nurse when an issue or concern is noted, and promptly communicates patient issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
  • Lab Testing: Administers appropriate lab tests, including patient vital signs, TB tests when required, and collects data for review by Medical Director or RN.
  • Scheduling and Screening: Schedules and screens patients to be seen by the Medical Director, assists the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical, and makes medical record entries as directed.
  • Order Management: Receives medical orders, ensures that medical orders are documented and signed by the physician, and ensures orders are understood by Program Director and other staff members as needed.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintains absolute control, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork, complies with federal and state privacy rules, and adheres to applicable clinic policies and procedures.
  • Professional Development: Actively participates in CARF preparation and state audit process, participates in all staff meetings, and complies with all Local, State, Federal, and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations, and policies.
Requirements:
  • Education and Licensure: Active nursing license in the state in which the clinic is located.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact, prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
