About the Role

Baxter is a leading global medical technology company that is deeply connected by its mission to save and sustain lives. As a Process Engineer - Container System Platforms, you will play a critical role in contributing to the design, development, and improvement of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard engineering assignments, selecting sound techniques to tackle problems and making design recommendations under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Use engineering tools to tackle straightforward problems, such as FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Mold Flow, SPC, and software development.
  • Lead small project teams as needed to accomplish project objectives.
  • Monitor and report project costs, including capital and multi-functional expenses, and estimate costs affected by design or change.
  • Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products and processes.
  • Investigate new sources for raw materials or processes.
  • Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project and business objectives.
  • Provide supervision to technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Prefer experience with TQM methods, such as six sigma.
  • Display a proven technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures, such as CAD and its application or scheduling a series of technical tasks using software-based tools.
  • Demonstrated application of engineering principles on individual or small projects.
