Cement Mixer Truck Technician Job Summary
Idaho Materials & Construction, a leading provider of construction materials, is seeking a skilled Cement Mixer Truck Technician to join our team. As a Cement Mixer Truck Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining cement mixer trucks, construction equipment, and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, batch plants, and paving machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot problems and make economical repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Dismantle devices to remove defective parts and perform repairs to heavy equipment, trucks, and shop equipment.
- Service vehicles and equipment, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and other complex equipment.
- Order parts and supplies, and maintain purchase orders and invoices to ensure efficient operations.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Install special functional and structural parts to upgrade equipment performance.
- Test device performance to ensure optimal results.
- Weld broken parts to repair equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years of related experience, and a current driver's license. You should also be able to sit, climb, use hands to handle equipment, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50-75 pounds, and have specific vision abilities.
Work Environment:
You may be exposed to various conditions such as wet/humid weather, moving parts, outside conditions, and loud noise levels.
