Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing general radiology procedures and producing high-quality diagnostic radiographs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general radiology procedures, including trauma radiography, routine fluoroscopy, pediatric radiography, surgical radiography, and portable radiography.
  • Process films and prepare records of service performed.
  • Make adjustments to equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  • Transport patients to and from the department.
  • Work efficiently to maintain scheduled patient appointments and unscheduled patient exams.
  • Ensure effective communications and documentation.
  • Work with high-risk and critically ill patients, serving neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Instruct and direct students from the Radiologic Technology Program at SRJC during their clinical rotation at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Associate's degree in Health Science or equivalent education/experience.
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists.
  • RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 30 Days of hire.

Preferred Experience:

Two years as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care hospital is desired.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • A complete understanding of technical principles, policies, and procedures in general diagnostic radiography.
  • Radiation safety/protection.
  • Current hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic imaging examinations with a high level of skill, accuracy, compassion, and tact.
  • Ability to maintain records accurately and follow verbal and written instructions of technical nature.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Understanding of Continuous Quality improvement, Quality Control, MSDS Program, and Infection Control.

Working Conditions:

The Radiologic Technologist works in a fast-paced environment, performing numerous duties at a given time. The ability to prioritize and successfully complete assigned workload in a stressful environment is essential.
