Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care: Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions in response to patient needs, utilizing advanced critical thinking skills to manage care for patients in a Level II trauma setting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team: Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, fostering a calm and supportive environment for patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Document patient information: Maintain a high standard of documentation and adhere to departmental protocols and guidelines, utilizing the Cerner charting system.
- Adapt to changing situations: Adapt quickly to the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the emergency room, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to ensure seamless patient care.
- Meet patient needs: Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to identify and address patient needs, providing individualized care and support to patients and their families.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments: Stay current with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of Emergency Department RN experience, with Level II trauma experience required.
- License: Active and clear NYS RN License.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Skills: Experience with Cerner charting system, advanced critical thinking skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
