Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Bakersfield, California.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment with a 36-hour workweek, working 12-hour night shifts. As a Labor and Delivery Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe and comfortable delivery experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to patients with various health needs, from simple to complex.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Monitor patients' physiological data, observe changes, and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medications, initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently, interacting with families and patients to share care plans and provide education.
  • Make referrals to appropriate personnel regarding patient care needs.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
  • Current RN License issued by the California State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
