Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at PRESS GLASS. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Assist users with various IT-related issues, including word-processing, email, printing, and operating systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of user support requests and actions taken in the Help Desk system.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical problems by prioritizing and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment.
  • Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
  • Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for users or user groups, both in person and remotely.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in computer-related discipline required; additional education, certification and/or experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SQL, Microsoft Domain environments, Office 365 Admin, Desktop/laptop/server hardware, network hardware and software.
