POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers tailored and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy facility, adhering to physician directives, established nursing practices, legal standards of nursing in Georgia, and the policies and procedures of the organization. This role encompasses the planning, implementation, and assessment of nursing care provided to patients throughout their care journey. The RN will engage with patients during every phase of their experience, demonstrating autonomy and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Occasional travel to affiliated centers may be required.

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to the Registered Nurse Manager (RN)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy is preferred.
  • Encouraged membership in GI specialty or relevant local, state, or national professional organizations.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Completion of the Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation, with a passing score of 100% on the post-test for the conscious sedation module.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform under pressure. Moderate sitting and computer usage. Good visual acuity is essential. Capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Proficiency in reaching, grasping, and fine motor skills to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape. Requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
