Job Summary

The Physician Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Jupiter Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice, providing top-notch patient care, and supporting our physicians in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care management, including vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and updating medical records.
  • Execute administrative and clinical procedures, such as entering lab and imaging orders, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, and transmitting prescription refills.
  • Perform supervisory functions, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and removing sutures and dressings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program for medical assistants with one year in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a medical office setting required if not a graduate from a medical assisting program.
  • Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine, medical equipment, and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, possess computer skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
