The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Department's gynecologic services within a newly established multidisciplinary outpatient facility that includes a surgical center. Ideal applicants are board-certified or eligible physicians with fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery or equivalent expertise, and a passion for resident education and patient care in an academic environment.
Institutional Background
The Wexner Medical Center is a premier tertiary care institution, with a new hospital facility planned for the near future. The College of Medicine produces approximately 200 medical graduates annually, and the integrated Ob/Gyn residency program trains 11 residents each year, ensuring a robust educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Faculty members in this division will oversee resident continuity clinics, manage the gynecology teaching service, and provide gynecologic consultations within the hospital. They will also actively engage in medical student education. The current faculty comprises specialists in minimally invasive surgery, along with expertise in family planning, vulvar disease, menopause, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and breastfeeding.
Qualifications
- MD or DO or equivalent degree
- Completion of an accredited residency training program
- Current DEA registration
- Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio
