We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Weifield Group Contracting. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
- Perform this work in a specific area of a production line in our Prefabrication shop.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Work with electrical components like circuit breakers and electrical cabinet utilizing handheld tools like drills and screwdrivers.
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
- Maintain constant awareness and focus on safe work practices.
- Demonstrate and embrace our company values, our PACT: People, Advance Process, Community, and Trusting Relationships.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a passion for working with your hands and solving problems.
- Possess demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Be able to read blueprints and work orders.
- Be able to read/use a tape measure.
- Possess basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills as well as a normal range of hearing and vision.
- Be willing to commit to consistent, day-to-day on time attendance.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
- Thrive on learning new things, be highly curious, and be open to direct and honest feedback.
