JOB OVERVIEW

Insight Global is in search of a skilled and driven Senior Engineer specializing in Highway projects to join our dynamic highway and transportation design team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering and nurturing client relationships while managing a variety of design initiatives. Responsibilities will encompass a spectrum of projects, from minor transportation enhancements and trail designs to extensive highway undertakings, including intersection upgrades and major road expansions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee the design processes for multiple highway and transportation initiatives.


• Assume the lead role as Highway Engineer on significant transportation projects.


• Supervise design teams across various locations, ensuring adherence to design standards and regulatory compliance.


• Contribute to the formulation of project design fees and budgets.


• Facilitate coordination with clients, subconsultants, and relevant governmental and regulatory bodies.


• Travel occasionally to project sites for task completion or meetings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.


• At least 10 years of experience in highway and transportation design.


• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


• Strong leadership skills to guide teams and promote effective collaboration.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.


• Familiarity with Federal, State, and local permitting regulations is required.


• Proficient in design and plan preparation using MicroStation and MS Office Suite.


• Valid driver's license with a record of safe driving practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


• Registered Professional Engineer.
