Speech Therapist Job Opportunity in Cumming, Georgia

We are seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team as a clinical speech therapist in a school district near Cumming, Georgia. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will provide vital services to students with communication disorders, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

About the Role:
  • This is a full-time position available immediately, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The successful candidate will work with students from kindergarten to high school, providing speech and language therapy services tailored to meet their individual needs.
  • Caseload size will be discussed during the interview process, ensuring that we find the right fit for both the student and the speech therapist.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to diagnose communication disorders in students.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on these assessments, focusing on speech and language development.
  3. Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of each child.
  4. Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions, keeping stakeholders informed about student progress.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Requirements:
  • A valid Georgia State SLP License is mandatory, along with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not essential; what matters most is your passion for helping students thrive.
  • You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in this role, as you'll need to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a focus on student success.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential, as you'll be managing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
