Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Dirigo Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care: Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADL), including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident activities, progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Medications and Medical: Assist residents with medication management, attend medical appointments, and ensure that residents receive necessary medical care.
  • Residence Administration and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, manage household finances, and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; current State of Maine College of Direct Support DSP curriculum (or will complete upon hire).
  • Certifications: Current Adult First Aid/CPR Certification, Safety Care v.6 Certification, and State of Maine CRMA License required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a DSP preferred.
