Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder in Clearwater, Florida. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including routine inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint
  • Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
