Responsibilities

As a Long Term Care RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a long term care setting. This will include:

  • Completing nursing assessments and documenting patient information
  • Communicating and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members
  • Providing and coordinating patient care with other healthcare team members
  • Monitoring patients' responses to interventions and reporting outcomes
  • Administering medications as ordered and documenting appropriately
  • Sharing on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required
  • Maintaining cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
  • Transporting patients as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A nursing diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • One to three years' experience as an RN preferred
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
  • PC skills
  • Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment, push, pull, bend, and lift
