We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alden Lincoln Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: You will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our patients, including administering medications, performing routine charting duties, and ensuring that all nursing procedures and protocols are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Supervise Nursing Assistants: You will supervise and instruct our nursing assistants on a number of topics to promote job knowledge and ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: You will assist in developing a written plan of care for each patient that identifies the problems/needs of the patient and ensure that all care plans are being followed.
- Communicate Effectively: You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that all needs are met and that patients receive the highest level of care.
- Participate in Continuing Education: You will participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and procedures.
- Current RN License: You must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
- CPR Certification: You must possess current CPR certification or become certified within two weeks of employment.
- Knowledge of Nursing and Medical Practices: You must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
- Leadership and Supervisory Ability: You must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Physical Demands: You must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, and patients in excess of fifty (50) pounds throughout the day.
- Exposure to Infectious Waste: You may be required to be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the (HIV) AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
