Critical Care Registered Nurse

Bon Secours is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification, with ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months of experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit preferred.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and Critical Care Course preferred.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads. The Critical Care Registered Nurse may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. The role also requires the ability to work with limited hazardous substances or body fluids, and to exercise universal precautions and use personal protective equipment.
Physical RequirementsThe Critical Care Registered Nurse must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. The role also requires manual dexterity, finger dexterity, and the ability to hear alarms and telephone audio recordings.
