We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our home care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan of Care: Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, working closely with Physical Therapists to ensure effective treatment and patient outcomes.
- Patient Outcomes: Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
- Minimize Patient Risk: Assess functional problems and provide intervention and, in conjunction with the Physical Therapist, work toward goals to improve patient functional status.
- Family Educator/Advocate: Counsel patients and families on the disease/injury and how to manage in all phases of physical therapy. Instruct patients and family members on proper use of equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
- Policies: Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
- Rules and Regulations: Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and communicate changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
- Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.
- Education and Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current license in the state of employment and minimum one-year experience as a PTA in an acute care setting. Home care experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude, patience, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions.
- Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
