Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate treatment plans
Develop individualized treatment goals and interventions to address patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges
Provide hands-on therapy to improve basic motor skills, mobility, and self-care abilities
Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes
Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers
Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of occupational therapy to continuously improve patient care
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience working with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors
Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of occupational therapy
