About the Role

Minds Matter, LLC is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Kansas City, KS region. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals with brain injuries live independently at home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat individuals with speech and language disorders, including problems with sound production, understanding, and communication.
  • Assess and treat cognitive, behavioral, and motor speech skills, as well as conversational skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each consumer.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including physical, occupational, and cognitive therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document consumer progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on strategies and techniques for supporting individuals with brain injuries.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and attend training and workshops as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Current eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move consumers with physical needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic to moderate technology skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records.
