Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Admissions and Records team as a Lead Admissions Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and maintaining academic records and transcripts for various purposes, including graduating eligibility and certification of general education requirements. You will also coordinate with the Articulation Officer on issues related to articulation agreements and evaluate incoming transcripts and records for admissions or transfer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, evaluate, and maintain academic records and transcripts for various purposes
  • Coordinate with the Articulation Officer on issues related to articulation agreements
  • Evaluate incoming transcripts and records for admissions or transfer
  • Prepare and maintain graduation lists and files and records relating to graduation
  • Certify course work completed to assure compliance with policies and regulations regarding course repetitions and sequence
  • Update database to assure compliance with changes relevant to student academic progress
  • Assist staff, students, and public in processes relating to student academic records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts or a related field and four years of increasingly responsible office/business experience involving computer database systems, including at least two years of experience working with admissions and records. You will also need to have knowledge of state and college regulations, policies, and procedures related to certificate and degree requirements, as well as articulation agreements between CSU, UC, and California community college systems.
