Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transplant Nephrologist to join our team at Discovery Commons Virginia Beach. As a key member of our renal team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading multi-disciplinary teams in the in-patient and out-patient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Conduct 5-day clinics per week, focusing on both pre- and post-transplant patient care.
  • Team Leadership: Participate in listing and Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings.
  • Inpatient Services: Manage inpatient services as required, with no outpatient clinic duties during inpatient rotations.
  • Transplant Program: Collaborate in a growing transplant program performing kidney and pancreas transplants annually.
  • Teaching and Mentorship: Engage in teaching opportunities within Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) and Graduate Medical Education (GME).
Requirements
  • Must be a board-certified or board-eligible Transplant Nephrologist.
  • Excellent clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide exceptional patient care.
