Essential Functions

  • Conducts routine and specialized ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Performs quality control checks on equipment and imaging systems to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborates with radiologists by providing technical details of the scans and discussing findings to support their interpretations.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work environment, adhering to strict protocols for handling medical supplies and equipment.
  • Accurately documents patient information, exam procedures, and imaging results in electronic systems.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Participates in continuing education programs to stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.
  • Contributes to research initiatives and the development of new ultrasound techniques.
  • Adheres to all relevant safety regulations and protocols, including emergency response procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registry or eligibility as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Current CPR certification.
