The Warehouse Operations Associate plays a crucial role in the logistics process, focusing on the picking and packing of orders, ensuring accuracy and quality in preparation for shipping and receiving. This position requires the use of specialized equipment to meet the demands of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of products are loaded.
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials as necessary.
- Operate forklifts or order pickers for order fulfillment when required.
- Prepare orders for shipment through various carriers, including parcel, LTL, and TL.
- Document product, packaging, and order details on designated forms.
- Apply appropriate shipping and tracking labels to packages, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure that outbound shipments are precise and undamaged.
- Inspect containers and products to confirm compliance with packing specifications and operational procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Keep the facility ready for inspections as required by regulatory bodies.
- Communicate any incidents or issues promptly.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Must pass background and drug screening.
