Automation Engineer Job Description

As an Automation Engineer, you will ensure that customer satisfaction, quality, standards, and safety are at the forefront of their systems. Electrical Controls Engineers primarily work on the programming of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, etc. and schematic design.

You will work with the latest technologies in the industry and have the opportunity for professional growth while developing advanced systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using PLC programming and other technologies.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Design and develop electrical control systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Participate in sales and marketing activities to promote the company's products and services.
  • Work with senior staff to develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Explore opportunities to work with machine vision, robotics, AGVs, and other advanced technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or 2-year degree in automation and controls with 5 years of experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and electrical control systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel occasionally.
