Addiction Treatment Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Addiction Treatment Registered Nurse to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting recovery in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Summary:The Addiction Treatment Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a psychiatric facility setting. You will work closely with individuals to achieve their recovery goals, provide health promotion and maintenance, and conduct intake screening, evaluation, and triage. Additionally, you will provide case management, teach self-care activities, administer and monitor psychobiological treatment regimens, and practice crisis intervention and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a psychiatric facility setting
- Partner with individuals to achieve their recovery goals
- Provide health promotion and maintenance
- Conduct intake screening, evaluation, and triage
- Provide case management
- Teach self-care activities
- Administer and monitor psychobiological treatment regimens
- Practice crisis intervention and stabilization
- Engage in psychiatric rehabilitation and intervention
- Educate patients, families, and communities
- Coordinate care within interdisciplinary teams
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in-state practicing
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
- Computer proficiency required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
