Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist will operate and program mills, as well as maintain, set, and adjust the machine to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have experience with numerical controlled machines and be able to interpret complicated drawings and program sheets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines
  • Plan and perform various machine operations using numerical controlled machines
  • Interpret complicated drawings, program sheets, and instructions to determine work to be done
  • Perform diversified operations on numerical controlled machines
  • Review setup sheets and specifications to determine sequence and dimensions of finished work pieces
  • Attach fixtures to machines according to setup instructions
  • Manipulate controls to start machines
  • Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions
  • Perform inspection and gaging operations to ensure maintenance of quality standards and specifications
  • Measure work pieces for conformance to specifications
  • Notify supervisors of discrepancies
  • Adjust machines according to specifications
  • Clean machine parts and perform machine maintenance
