Job Title: CDL Driver/Operator

At HTH Companies, we are seeking a skilled CDL Driver/Operator to join our team. As a key member of our industrial services team, you will be responsible for operating vacuum trucks and waterblast trucks to and from construction sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and set up vacuum and blast operations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain equipment and assist in the operation of equipment, including understanding its capabilities and operating in a safe environment.
  • Complete a vehicle inspection report to ensure the vehicle and equipment are safe to operate before leaving the site.
  • Connect and disconnect hoses, unload materials, and clean out truck tanks after each use.
  • Understand different hose types, tips, and set-ups.
  • Obey traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs.
  • Report all accidents, near misses, and injuries to the Safety Manager or Supervisors on site.
  • Perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including climbing ladders, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50lbs, and prolonged walking and standing.
  • Follow directions from managers, lead, and superintendents, and clarify responsibilities as needed.
  • Respect yourself, coworkers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients.
  • Take care of company-owned and rented equipment, returning it in like manner.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic mechanical skills and ability to fix basic mechanical problems.
  • Gather correct tools needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission.
  • Understand appropriate offload procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and their applications.
  • Ability to follow all safe work procedures.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at above-ground elevations while wearing a harness and other protective equipment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptable in methods used to complete tasks.
  • Willing to go the extra mile for the team.
  • Motivated to learn new skills and trades.
  • Follows directions from manager/lead/superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if needed.
  • Respects self, coworkers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients.
  • Shows up on time, ready to complete work.
