Responsibilities of the Lead Industrial Service Technician:
Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Diagnose and repair powder coating machinery.
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrate proficiency with all Gema machinery.
Evaluate current customer systems and suggest enhancements.
Oversee and assist in the installation of new machinery.
Support sales initiatives for Gema machinery and service contracts.
Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Develop customized operation and maintenance plans for clients.
Provide training to client personnel on equipment operation.
Willingness to travel frequently by vehicle.
Expect overnight travel of 20-30%.
Maintain good physical condition and stamina (capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.).
Experience in a noisy, industrial setting.
Uphold a neat and professional appearance.
Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications for the Lead Industrial Service Technician:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience in a technical discipline (preferred).
3 to 5 years of experience in servicing or troubleshooting machinery (or a comparable mix of education and experience).
Basic electrical knowledge and proficiency in using electrical testing equipment.
Ability to comprehend electrical diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Capability to read, interpret, and compose technical documentation.
Mathematical skills for fundamental calculations (e.g., measurements, ratios).
Valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively.
Must successfully pass a background screening.
Position Details:
This role entails a 40-hour work week with potential for overtime.
Necessary tools for the position will be supplied.
Training specific to the equipment will be provided, along with ongoing educational opportunities, including offsite training that involves travel.
