About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing patient-oriented procedures under the direction and supervision of a clinician, RN, or LVN.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is a crucial role in ensuring safe and appropriate patient care. You will assist the clinician with minor medical and surgical procedures, perform clerical and administrative duties related to patient care assistance, and ensure proper documentation of all procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate superior customer service, including quality care and concern with internal and external customers.
  2. Patient Confidentiality: Use, protect, and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
  3. Anticipating Clinician Needs: Anticipate the clinician's needs and carry out orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Patient Escorting: Check for patients' arrival status and escort patients from the waiting area to exam rooms. Escort patients to ancillary services as needed.
  5. Vital Sign Collection: Obtain, record, and report vital signs and other pertinent patient information to RN, LVN, or clinician.
  6. Medical Procedures: Perform various medical procedures and medication administration as appropriate for certification.
  7. Lab Specimen Processing: Perform phlebotomy, process lab specimens, and maintain lab specimen logs as necessary.
  8. Procedure Assistance: Assist clinician with procedures as requested.
  9. Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of all procedures.
  10. Clinic Maintenance: Maintain and clean exam and treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipment.
About You
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire required.
  • Transportation: Access to reliable transportation for traveling to client or patient sites within a designated area.
Additional Information

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $16.00-$28.27 per hour, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
