Lecturer in Medieval Literature

Position Overview

The Department of English at Skidmore College is seeking applications for a tenure-track Lecturer specializing in medieval literature. We are looking for a colleague whose research and pedagogy embrace a global perspective on the medieval era. Teaching Responsibilities
The teaching load consists of 18 credits annually, typically encompassing five courses, including one writing-intensive course each semester. Faculty members are expected to actively participate in Skidmore's First Year Experience program.

Community Engagement
All faculty are expected to engage fully in the college community, which includes advising students, participating in faculty governance, and contributing to departmental activities.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of excellence in both teaching and research, along with a commitment to undergraduate education in a liberal arts context. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
