Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at Windsor Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to students, promoting a safe and healthy learning environment, and collaborating with school administrators, teachers, and families to support student well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health services to students, including immunizations, hearing and vision tests, and other health practices approved by the Superintendent of Schools.
  • Assess the health status of students and identify their health needs, providing counseling and advice to students and their parents as necessary.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and families to develop and implement health programs and services that promote student well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all assigned students, interpreting these records as required.
  • Prepare and submit data and reports as requested by the Head Nurse, and participate in In-Service programs as required by Administrative Policy.
Requirements and Qualifications

The successful candidate must be licensed as a registered professional nurse in the State of Connecticut and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
