Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Apply advanced surgical technology skills to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse circulator to prepare patients, assemble supplies, and ensure proper disposition of specimens.
- Participate in educational opportunities to increase competency and meet personal needs and goals.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards.
- May serve as a preceptor and clinical resource to others.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
- 2 years of operating room experience in surgical technologist role required.
- Current certification preferred.
