Job Description

Patient Care Technician Responsibilities:

  • Maintain department cleanliness, adhering to procedures for cleaning up after treatments.
  • Assist with patient transfers, prioritizing and problem-solving to meet changes in patient status/condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure staffing patterns meet appropriate skill levels for quality patient care.
  • Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs, serving as a resource and assisting other staff in caring for patients.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, documentation, and communication via electronic medical records.

Discharge PCT Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in and out of vehicles, supporting and reinforcing discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community agencies, utilizing electronic medical records for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Manage breast pump rental systems, maintaining department cleanliness and restocking equipment.

Labor Delivery Post Partum Breastfeeding Center Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and payment processing for breast pump rentals, tracking billing and maintaining contracts.
  • Contact patients regarding breast pump rentals and billing, liaising with suppliers and managing systems.
  • Clean and restock breast pumps, maintain department cleanliness, and assist in transporting equipment and supplies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a nursing assistant program.
  • A current, unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in the State of Arizona.
  • Bachelor Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fingerprint clearance card application number, required upon hire.
  • Fingerprint clearance card, required within 90 days from date of hire.
