We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide expert therapy services to students in Salem, Virginia. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional to assess students' communication needs and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) to address specific challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to address specific communication challenges.
- Deliver high-quality therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support and track student progress.
- Keep detailed records of therapy sessions and student outcomes, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional input and recommendations.
- Stay informed about current best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current license in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Virginia Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for this credential).
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
