Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a Physical Therapist in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and care of our newborn patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for NICU patients to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability.
  • Implement and modify treatment programs based on patient progress and evaluative findings.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities, including hot/cold packs, ultrasound, massage, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, and wound care.
  • Fit assistive, prosthetic, and orthotic devices and provide training to patients and family members.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, and assist in orienting new staff Physical Therapists.
  • Participate in quality assurance data collection and planning, and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania, based on work location required.
  • Doctorate Degree preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Ability to sit for up to ninety minutes at a time.
  • Ability to stand for thirty to forty-five minutes consecutively.
  • Ability to use hands/fingers to manipulate dials on machines.
  • Ability to lift/move patients up to 300 lbs., push/pull patients weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently stoop/bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation and ability to hear call bells.
  • Ability to see as it relates to general vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
