Job Summary

The Admitting Registrar is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and hand-off to clinical/non-clinical departments. This role requires strong technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with physicians, health team members, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain and record demographic and financial information
  • Ensure insurance eligibility and perform pre-cert/authorization
  • Calculate and collect patient portion at time of service
  • Prioritize work with minimal supervision to independently carry out duties
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2–3 years of registration or comparable work experience required
  • Technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills relevant to this area
  • Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
