Radiology Support Specialist

Jefferson Health is in search of a Radiology Support Specialist to engage in a diverse range of essential tasks within the Radiology Department. This position entails providing assistance to radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, while also delivering patient care services. The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in a medical office setting being advantageous. CPR certification is mandatory.

The Radiology Support Specialist will undertake responsibilities such as:

  • Facilitating patient transportation within the Radiology Department, monitoring patient support devices, and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Assisting in radiological environments by offering patient support and aiding technologists during procedures.
  • Inspecting and restocking supplies and linens in patient care areas, as well as preparing examination rooms for upcoming procedures.
  • Providing support to front office personnel and film room staff, while also participating in special projects as needed.
  • Training new transport staff in patient care protocols and ensuring accurate patient documentation.
Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
AND

Experience:
A combination of training and/or experience that enables the performance of the outlined duties. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred. CPR Certification is required.
Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is required for employment at Jefferson. Exemptions are available for medical or religious reasons.
