Job Description

Overview:

As a Fire Protection Layout Specialist, you will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems that meet the client's needs and local fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
  • Conduct site visits and collaborate with engineers to assess fire protection needs.
  • Review project specifications and requirements to develop comprehensive fire sprinkler layouts.
  • Ensure all designs meet NFPA codes, local regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors and project managers to ensure proper installation and functionality of systems.
  • Provide technical support to the field team during installation and testing.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation for submission to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, code changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local building codes, and fire protection standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
