We are seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Dwight Plumbing and Heating. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field and a clean license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal products and equipment according to specifications, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products using hand tools, power tools, and machinery, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient execution.
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal surfaces, ensuring precise cuts and assemblies.
  • Cut, shape, and bend sheet metal using shears, presses, and other cutting equipment, maintaining a high level of precision and quality.
  • Install ductwork, vents, and other sheet metal components for HVAC systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes is essential for this role, as well as proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team of sheet metal workers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure team success.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for this role, as well as knowledge of construction estimating principles and familiarity with contract specifications and requirements.
