Job Overview

Position: Production Helper

Location: Cleveland, OH

The Production Helper plays a crucial role in assisting the production team in transforming steel billets into finished components within a continuous production setting. This role emphasizes adherence to quality benchmarks throughout the manufacturing process while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the initiation and preheating of furnaces, monitoring temperatures and ensuring a seamless feed of billets into the induction furnace.
  • Procure necessary tools, fixtures, and materials essential for the production process.
  • Act as a Spray Operator during forging operations when required.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions, including safety and equipment handling.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Lead Person.
  • Provide performance feedback to the Operator regarding crew activities.

Compensation: Starting Rate: $18.99

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Capability to lift and maneuver equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Frequent ability to navigate stairs and work platforms.
  • Proficient in operating hand tools as necessary.
