Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Computer Science Instructor to join our faculty at Northern Illinois University. As a member of our academic team, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of computer science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach computer science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students
  • Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Stay current with developments in the field of computer science and incorporate best practices into your teaching

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience teaching computer science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Experience with mentoring and advising students
