Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role within the healthcare team, contributing to the overall success of our practice by demonstrating a focus on patient care, effective communication, professionalism, and collaboration. This position involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for designated patient populations and their families.
Core Duties:
- Deliver general nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Secure patient consent for treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
- Gather and document patient health histories, vital signs, and assess health risks.
- Provide care based on established guidelines, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications, monitoring patient progress and responses.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and management of conditions.
- Document assessments and interventions using established medical record systems.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
- Monitor quality assurance data for both acute and chronic care management.
- May lead other nursing staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or acute care setting.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification in the relevant state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret professional documents and regulations.
- Proficient in mathematical calculations and data interpretation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage various situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
