Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Maintenance Technician to join our team at Webber, LLC. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and other infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe Traffic Control: Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage, to ensure safe traffic flow.
  • Bridge Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and repair of bridge structures, including railings, expansion joints, doors, and painting as required.
  • Roadway Maintenance: Repair and maintain functionality of roadway catch basins, sumps, and pumps, fire hydrants, and other mechanical assets.
  • Transportation: Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces, including potholes, striping, adding or replacing reflectors, working with concrete and asphalt.
  • Vegetation Management: Maintain clean appearance of highways and medians through litter and debris removal and disposal, including ice and snow removal.
  • Slope and Drain Maintenance: Repair and maintain functionality of slopes, berms, culverts, drains, and other infrastructure assets.
  • Sign and Guardrail Maintenance: Maintain the appearance and functionality of signs, guardrails, fences, and lighting through repair and/or replacement.
  • Emergency Response: Be available and accessible for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Experience: One (1) year work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair (Preferred)
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a good driving record are required to drive a company vehicle.
  • Specialized Licenses: Class DZ/AZ driver's license and OTM Book 7 (Highly Desirable)
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
