Aquatics Swim Instructor

At Wapakoneta Family YMCA, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Aquatics Swim Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified swim instructor to teach private and semi-private swim lessons to children and adults. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
2. Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a clean and organized pool area and adhering to YMCA safety protocols.
3. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
4. Maintain accurate records of lesson attendance and progress.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive team environment.
6. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
