We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN specializing in Operating Room (OR) services to join our dedicated team at Glenbrook Hospital. This role involves providing exceptional care in a dynamic surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Position/Specialty: OR RN
- Shifts: Various shifts including 7-3:30 M-F, 7-5:30P with one day off TBD, 9-5:30P M-F, 7-7:30P M, W, F, and 11-7:30P M-F
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 for all shifts, managing 16 rooms and beds
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Weekend Requirements: On-call for 2 weekend days every 6 weeks
- On-call Duties: Vascular and General Call, 8-9 shifts every 6 weeks
- Floating: May float between Cardiovascular Institute and Main OR as needed
- Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
- Licensing: Must possess an active IL license
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel 1 shift per month without compensation for the cancelled hours
Candidates must have experience in vascular and ophthalmology procedures, as well as general OR experience. Preferred qualifications include:
- Vascular call experience
- CVOR & Hybrid OR experience
- BLS certification is mandatory
- CNOR certification is preferred
Experience in the following surgical cases is required:
- Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular
Proficiency in the following areas is necessary:
- Vascular skills including various repair techniques
- General surgery skills such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy
- Ophthalmology skills including cataract extraction
- Urology skills such as cystoscopy
Familiarity with electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources is essential.
Professional KnowledgeKnowledge in the administration of blood products, infection control, and safety protocols is required.
Schedule InformationThis position involves a variety of shifts with on-call responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment.
