Job Title: Controls Engineer

Group14 Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in Moses Lake, WA. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the installation, commissioning, and operation of the world's largest production facility of next-generation lithium silicon anode materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, install, and commission control systems for BAM-2, our new state-of-the-art facility in Moses Lake, WA.
  • Interface with operations, provide controls-related technical support, training, and guidance.
  • Debug and troubleshoot PLC and DCS logic.
  • Assist with configuration of the site Data Historian (AVEVA PI) and OT Network.
  • Create and maintain procedures and documentation for control systems and networks.
  • Provide ongoing support during production for technical issues related to the control systems and equipment.
  • Contribute to manufacturing best practices and a facility-wide safety philosophy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science degree) preferred, or Associate degree/Trade Certification and equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience in control systems engineering, industrial engineering, process controls, or automated manufacturing is required.
  • Experience with DCS programming (Emerson DeltaV or similar), experience with PLC programming (Siemens or similar), experience with OT networking and ancillary systems (Historians/MES).
  • Exceptional verbal and written ability with the aptitude to communicate professionally with production personnel, management, contractors, and project leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SCADA/HMI application development and knowledge of MES.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks, virtual machines, thin clients, cybersecurity.
  • Experience with VFDs, robotics, machine vision, barcode scanners.
  • Startup and commissioning experience, preferably in chemical processing.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and PID tuning: flow, level, temperature.
