**About the Role**

The CPU Implementation Engineer will play a vital role in the development of Apple's innovative products. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of CPU designs, ensuring they meet Apple's high standards for performance, power, and area.

 

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Defining the micro-architecture and assisting with design feasibility and power, performance, and area (PPA) trade-offs.
  • Driving RTL-to-GDS design convergence through microarchitecture and logic (RTL) optimizations using synthesis and place-and-route tools targeting ambitious goals for PPA.
  • Collaborating with internal CAD and PD methodology teams on industry standard synthesis/PNR tool features and optimizations and their adoption in CPU design.
  • Ensuring the development of block-level design delivery along with closure of backend flows, electrical requirements, and improving silicon yield.
  • Working closely with custom IP teams to define and co-optimize memory macros, library standard cells to improve design PPA.

 

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in logic design and digital circuits.
  • Experience with low power and high frequency design techniques.
  • Experience in TCL or Perl.
