Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair major appliances and related equipment in kitchens, including walk-in coolers, ovens, food mixers, and steam tables.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on food service equipment and refrigeration, ensuring efficient operation and optimal performance.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment and major appliances, including gas and electric units.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in a current log, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Procure necessary parts and complete required paperwork for each job.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; CFESA certification or trade program completion preferred.
  • Three years of direct work experience as an equipment repair technician or successful completion of a trade school program required.
  • Universal EPA Certification required; must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
  • Possess normal hearing ability; correctable color blindness and 20/20 vision in both eyes required.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds; frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working at heights.
